To sign the word “adeling,” use your dominant hand to make a fist with your thumb resting on top of your index finger. Then, move your fist in a small circular motion in front of your chest. This represents the letter “a” in American Sign Language. Next, use your dominant hand to form the letter “d” by extending your index finger and placing it on top of your thumb. Move this hand in a small bouncing motion in front of your chest. Finally, for the last two letters, use your dominant hand to form the letter “l” by extending your thumb, index, and middle fingers, and slightly tucking in your pinky and ring fingers. Place this hand on your non-dominant shoulder and move it outward in a slight diagonal motion. This represents the letters “e” and “ing” respectively.
